In Japan, we traditionally celebrate "Mother's Day" on the second Sunday of May.
The other day, I visited a relative who produces carnations. This year, due to the influence of COVID-19, the shipment of carnations has decreased compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, shipments of potted flowers are on the rise.
It is believed that people who refrain from going out are buying them to heal the mind in the home.
We are looking forward to the day when we do not need to refrain from anything and we feel free to go outside and enjoy flowers casually.
